Attendance: Is not mandatory for all recreational classes, but is encouraged. It is very important to attend a majority of the classes to be ready for the recital. Please try to call to let us know if you will be out.

Boutique: Will be open Monday-Friday 4-7pm and Saturday mornings 8-11am. Any of the Boutique attendees can assist in shoe sizing, purchasing merchandise and receiving payments.

Class Sizing: Minimum of 4 students is required to make a class run throughout the year. Classes may be combined or cancelled to accommodate these numbers. There is also a maximum on class size by age. Classes will be closed when max has been met.

Dress Code: Leotards and tights are strongly enforced for all classes. Fitted shorts are acceptable for all forms and pants may be worn for Hip Hop classes.

Hair: Needs to be pulled completely off the face and neck. Buns are best but can be worn in a ponytail. Always pull back “whispies”.

Inclement Weather: Days off of school may not always mean days off from dance classes. A message will be sent via email as well as a message left on the Dance Center’s answering machine.

Payments: Are made quarterly on Sept 15th, Nov 15th, Jan 15th and Mar 15th. A $45 (per) costume deposit for youth & $55 (per) adult sizes is required on, or before, Oct 15th.  Families receive discounts per child and there is a 10 % discount for tuition paid by August 31st or 5% discount for tuition paid in full by Sept 15th.

Pictures: Dance Center pictures are very important for the studio owner. It is really nice to display group photos each year of every class. No fees are required, just your time. Photos can be purchased, only, if desired.

Recital: Will be held at the Salem State Main Stage Theatre in May.  A definite date will be given in September when the college theatre schedule has been set.

Shoes: Most dance shoes can be purchased in the Dance Center’s Boutique.  Ballet slippers are pink, jazz shoes are tan and tap shoes are black. I prefer black Reebok Classics for Hip Hop and Cheer dance and may be pre-ordered through the Boutique as well.
